A SMILE CAN TRAVEL MILES

It is an amazing fact that a simple smile can change the course of a person's day then travel on to the next unexpecting stranger to once again accomplish a miraculous change in outlook.... how many smiles can we send across the country today???

Endings and Beginnings

Wow! Now that was a week that was!!! So glad to have a couple days to breathe deep......finally finished the dog puzzle - sadly two pieces away from a totally complete picture :(    No time for regrets or tantrums....on to a new venture.....got the frame work done and the fun begins....."All aboard!!!"

Slept in so soundly this morning......woke up peacefully and stretched myself into the new day.  A tall mug of Vanilla Pear tea  in the chilled morning air..... ahhh, now this is a wonderful life :)  Got a few errands done then home to experiment in the kitchen. I mentioned a few posts back about  the "Kale Chips" - from "Cooking with Michelle" - well today is the day I give them a try....... I have to admit I was quite intrigued - it looked like something that would really make a wonderful snack for those days I can't leave the chippers alone..... not sure if what I bought is kale or red lettuce..... (does it really matter?) Well, the whole process was quite simple - didn't even take that long to bake in the low temp oven - final result?  Hmmmmm, let's see - kinda resembles seaweed - paper thin delicate seaweed - good flavor -melts in your mouth before you can actually enjoy a good             c r u n c h -   felt a bit ill after eating a couple hands full - not a good packing snack ( would be pulverized by lunch time!) Probably best suited to an afternoon tea with other strange delicacies......Actually, I'm very glad to have made them - maybe one or two leaves at most next time..... I really think lettuce is best served as salad or on bread - but hey....that's just me :)  Time for a good movie and some popcorn - yum!
