Woke up semi early this beautiful Saturday morning.....thinking that I would have company and I needed to accomplish a few bits of knitting before the afternoon. Baby shower this evening and I still have three pairs of booties to knit! I suppose the gift I had already put together would have been fine, sufficient, appropriate....but three pairs of booties would have made me giggle with joy! That final touch that made the whole gift complete. So I set upon the task of knitting.....knitting.....knitting....while listening for company knocking at the door....knitting....knitting....knitting.....FINISHED! Still no company however. I'm a bit concerned. Hopefully all is well - phone calls later this evening to make sure. All the while I was making the booties my husband was busy finishing the puzzle on the kitchen table.....poor thing! He has come down with the nasty nose/chest bug - between the sniffs and coughs he drank lots of tea and fit the puzzle pieces together. I readied myself for the baby shower, packed up all the goodies into the gift box, checked up on the sniffly guy and left for the party. All was fun! Lots of good yummy vegetarian food , friends, punch and party games - so many gifts it boggled the mind!!! Finally it was time to return home. Ahhhhh, pjs and a hot cup of tea.......puzzle is already finished (buggers!) so a new one will be prepared for tomorrow. I think I'm excited!!!
