Today was so beautiful...sun shining through wisps of white clouds on a blue canvas sky. Warm - yet not quite warm enough to finish the snow melt. I looked around the yard, my head full of memories of warmer weather not long past.....I used to sit on my swing with a full canopy over head - sweeping branches with petite little leaves tickling my cheek while I swayed back and forth......the evenings brought lots of conversation around the firepit.... roasting marshmallows and making s'mores! In my mind the colors and joy remain vivid but as I look around everything is frost bitten, cold and lifeless......until.....can it be???.....yes!!! The Earth is giving renewed birth!!!!!! What joy! What delight!!! A sign of all the beauty to come! I really really love the changing of the seasons....crisp chilly air - snow on the ground......but when everything is barren and empty I pine for the warmer days of Spring and Summer. How glorious to see the green pushing it's way through the frozen ground.
